Dear all,

We have all survived the first week of prelims haha. It has been a ... not so wonderful experience for many of us, but at least we managed to come through in one piece. It is going to be another week(or 2 for some pple with S-papers) and I agree that it is going to be tough, however we should all stay calm. Do not worry too much about how much or how little you have completed, all that you need is self-esteem and a good night's rest. Very often, the results we obtain are disappointing and not proportional to how hard we worked for. The harsh reality leads us to question our own abilities, our IQ, our potential.

That is just part of life, it happens so often, when our efforts do not pay off. sometimes we feel so fustrated that we want to just escape from all the exams that torment us. However, we should let it all go. The school exams are often set at a standard above the actual exam so as to instill a sense of urgency in us. Many at times, it is the stress we place on ourselves that suppress our true abilities. When we are obsessed with the marks, we lose out on others in life.

This is the prelims, the results are important but they do not determine our fate. They act as an accurate reflection of our abilities at this point in time and tells us how far we are from our goals. For those we do well, we are happy for you. For those who do not perform as well, work hard for the actual exam. Now is not the end, so just put the past behind and prepare yourself for the final exam and put a perfect end to your JC life.

That's all, signing off

All the best for Prelims & A'levels!
