gosh this post should've been up earlier, blame it on my laziness. i procrastinated.
anyway, it's up. and this entry shall be about our Kbox outing on Monday 25-9-06, after Chem S paper!
the Chem S was tedious, but the incentive of k-boxing spurred me on to finish the LAST PRELIM PAPERRR. quite a lot of ppl went, 11 in fact =). after the paper, we went to makan lunch at Curry Wok. it was cramped, but cosyyyy...
3 heads. nik's expression is kinda weird.
while waiting for the bus to clementi, vanessa and pq decided to imitate a chef. can someone tell me what that poster is all about? V for...? Vendetta? Vanessa?
the bus trip was also filled with laughter. while watching a modelling show on TVMobile...
zhen hao was trying to find his blind-spot...
and once again, pq has tricked vanessa into taking an UNglam shot.
ahh! Clementi!! where u can find cheapo Kbox =) though it wasnt as cheap as we hoped it would be, of cos, with 6 bowls of tidbits amounting to $30??? daylight robbery...
time is precious, so we began singing awayyyy. some chinese pop songs were selected, along with some english oldies by ABBA etc. the english MTVs were really sleazy though, with bikini babes and suggestive poses -.-''
Obviously liang zhen is mesmerised by my SUBLIME voice. Tao zui qi zhong =).
i dont think sublime should be used here, i dont care =p. i just realised last nite, that sublime has 3 distinct meanings:
1. solid to gas.
2. lofty, high-class.
3. i forgot, so pls ask pq.
i hope my voice is lofty. (sounds awkward...)
imagine there's a photo below showing PQ in a really weird posture when she was selecting a song with the remote control.
she didnt want me to put it up so she could protect her modesty.
we've also uncovered several singing talents - yanzhi & kelvin. the girls fell in love with yanzhi, and kel sang using his falsetto effortlessly. however... there were some voices that were not as wonderful.
Click on the foto above to experience the noise pollution for yourself. no offence adam haha.
3 hours plus later, we had to leave.... so we quickly sang our very last song by Harlem Yu...
it's another video! we just cant bear to leave.
yup, so that wraps up our KBOX outing!! yayayayayayayayayayayay...
im bored, so i shall give all of u a sneak peak into alfred's private life =)
my window view... ahh... GORGEOUS. so many lights and tall apartments that reach towards the sky
i should also be caught for vandalising the wall outside my window.
c'mon, my block's getting a new coat of paint mah. a little doodling is ok la...
and during the prelims period, my table is a MESS. i can see the periodic table smiling at me.
okok i think that's about it. i realised my entry these days have been largely pictorial. i love the camera.
last but not least, give ourselves a pat for our performance in physics! check out http://chowamushii.blogspot.com =) we clinched 9 positions amongst the top 100 (~10%!) and
"particularly S7A and S72... keep a lookout for your classes in the class average chart when I show on Mon... looks quite amazing"
- Mr Chow
oh goody! anyway, it's lunchtime now. and guess what, im going to see lee hom live at Junction 8 tmr. oh wells...

i formally apologise for everything ive previously said and typed in my past blog entry.
especially if it has inflicted insult, injury or offended any of you in any way. i probably wasnt in the right state of mind when i did that and i am probably not in any position to make such statements about the class either. who am i to pass such judgements? to have made such sweeping statements is probably violating one of the most fundamental rules of GP as well.
pointing fingers and making wild accusations isnt helping anyone at all.
how idiotic it is of me saying how much i want all of us to be closer and yet at the same time creating animosity thru those statements. to have grown to hate the people whom i have loved most is probably my worst flaw.
hate doesnt apply here but i dont ever want it to occur and am afraid for when it happens.
i just wish to say that im truely grateful.
to have been able to find my name on that white sheet of paper outside the canteen saying 05S7A on the top.
to have played an axe-wielding gimly alongside the fellowship.
to have had my nasilemak eaten by others during MAF
to have opened my eyes when i was helpless in gleneagles and saw you smiling
to have spent this 0.20 decade laughing alongside all you people, even if i didnt contribute
thank you for giving me the happiest moments of my life.
and thanx again for being my friends.

yooohoo 7A-ers! the post-prelims party at Nik's house just ended with a BANG!
and alfred's gonna update those who didnt manage to go with many fotos!!!
adam had already begun to prepare a sumptious dinner at 4pm =) the poor chickens had huge onions stuffed into their anus, but i guess it's the taste that matters =)
and by 7pm, almost everyone had arrived and the table was filled with food. pls drool.
of cos! pls congratulate adam for being a PRESIDENT'S SCOUT!!! pls do not bathe for the next wk (hold ur noses!) so we can at least touch that hand of urs that has S'pore president S.R. Nathan's epidermal cells.
while having our dinner together in the living room, we watched When a Stranger Calls.
not much atmosphere, but it does have some thrill element in it. even adam screamed when the man thrashed in the water to grab Jill.
after the 87 min movie, we began to PLAYYYYYY...
a mahjong battle began promptly, with adam, yz, ziping and zihao pitting their skills against each other. with the dice stolen by me, they had no choice but to ask us for a random number whenever a game starts -.-''
and i guess the movie startled them. WHO GOES THERE?!
Yanzhi concentrating really hardd.... ...
next to the mahjong battle, a gambling den was manifesting. with 16 dice of various colours and sizes, we played a zhong-ji-mi-ma kind of game, followed by a pseudo-bluff game, ideas obtained from Xiao Qi Da Cai Shen variety show =)
anyway i shan't explain the rules and stuff. the pictures speak a thousand words =)
Headless haotian!!!
i'm caught bluffing!
so was vanessa...
next we moved on to playing InDiAn PoKeR =)
the prize was enticing. a sip of ice cold Bailey's. zhenhao got a little tipsy after 2 sips. can't blame him, cos the alcohol is less diluted in a smaller body ;)
and of cos, we ought to thank nik for his wonderful house =). i miss his brother jeremy toh hahaha.
and yay!!! the party's over! and hope everyone enjoyed themselves!

Move along, by All American Rejects
Go ahead as you waste your days with thinking
When you fall everyone sins
Another day and you've had your fill of sinking
With the life held in your
Hands are shaking cold
These hands are meant to hold
Speak to me, when all you got to keep is strong
Move along, move along like I know you do
And even when your hope is gone
Move along, move along just to make it through
Move along
Move along
So a day when you've lost yourself completely
Could be a night when your life ends
Such a heart that will lead you to deceiving
All the pain held in your
Hands are shaking cold
Your hands are mine to hold
Speak to me, when all you got to keep is strong
Move along, move along like I know you do
And even when your hope is gone
Move along, move along just to make it through
Move along
(Go on, go on, go on, go on)
When everything is wrong we move along
(Go on, go on, go on, go on)
When everything is wrong, we move along
Along, along, along
When all you got to keep is strong
Move along, move along like I know you do
And even when your hope is gone
Move along, move along just to make it through
[x3]
(Move along)
(Go on, go on, go on, go on)
Right back what is wrong
We move along
(end)
In this time of darkness, when the clock says "THE END", it all boils down to bonds. Something transient. Strong? Weak? Non-existent?
How many people in our class do you love? (no not that way) Give everyone a piece of it; a love divided by 24 is never diminished in strength or value(: You don't need to be loved to love back. Initiate it. I don't need evidences that you love me, I have something stronger: I have belief. A belief that in a way, however, infinitesmall, i have touched your live and make you laugh. To ask for an immortal position in anyone's mind is too much, but the human side of me screams for a little of this attention and so does everyone's else.
All this time, I hope you people have enjoyed my company as much as i enjoyed yours. I've spent every moment in my studying wishing that it was the day of the exam, so that i can catch a glimpse of all your faces at the bench that is the anchor of my soul. I wish I could tell you all how much you all meant to me, but for what it's worth, none would suffice. I'm used to lonliness, to darkness, but it doesn't make them any easier to stand when i look at the clock at the night and holding my notes in one hand and squeezing my rubber ducky with the other, wishing that I was in all of your company.
At a time like this, there's no need for me to ask any more of your people. Love yourself (no, not that way), for being alive is never your business alone. Adam and the other nameless guy (nick i suppose) have voiced the pains of many. For now that is behind me, I have no need of any more worries in a life so riddled with it. Take care of yourselves, in this 2 months we might learn more about each other than in the 2 years.
Love,
Hao Tian

MOVIE: Miami Vice
starring Colin Farrell, Jamie Foxx and... Gong Li?!
Time: 3pm
Venue: Bishan J8
Synopsis:
Ricardo Tubbs is urbane and dead smart. He lives with Bronx-born intel analyst Trudy, as they work undercover transporting drug loads into South Florida to identify a group responsible for three murders. Sonny Crockett is charismatic and flirtatious until-while undercover working with the supplier of the South Florida group-he gets romantically entangled with Isabella, the Chinese-Cuban wife of an arms and drugs trafficker. The intensity of this case pushes Crockett and Tubbs out onto the edge where identity and fabrication become blurred, where cop and player become one-especially for Crockett in his romance with Isabella and for Tubbs in the provocation of an assault on those he loves.

hey class,
K let me first clarify that i in no way mean to hurt any one of you all or mean insult of any kind. However i do feel that i need to voice out. Its something all the guys lament about and i guess i should actually bring it forth.
Firstly, i admit that guys and girls are different. We have different taste, styles, and humour, among other things. However i do believe that no matter what there should always be compromise on both sides. I have no qualms about following people to go shopping or even to look at make up. i've done it before! but similarly i do believe girls should at least entertain the guys a bit if we wanna say look at some comics or muck about a bit as we guys normally do. However this is where the problem arises. Both the guys and the girls in the class do not seem to meet in a middle ground. Oh wait let me stop that thought they do not even seem to communicate!
The guys have no clue none whatsoever what the girls in class want to do. Similarly the girls also have a wrong impression of the guys. Lets be honest with this, besides a few individuals, the guys in class would rather be out at a movie or doing something else other than get stuck in a LAN shop. We only would willingly enter a LAN shop if the urge gets to us. After all we normally play at home for free so why bother to go to a LAN shop. So yeah if either side are both clueless as to what each want to do then how do we do anything?
This problem arises again when it comes to class 'events'. Notice that whenever an 'event' is organised it is either an all guy organising team comprising of ben, ht and i or an all girl organising team of vanessa, yun min and joanna. But look at the wonderful results it achieves. When guys organise anything no girls come and when the girls organise anything the guys always leave feeling as though they have wasted their time. On top of that let me point out some facts. Whenever anybody organises anything they bloody hell tank the whole freaking thing from buying food to calling to organising. Can i point out that 1. It is tiring 2. It is frustrating 3. so dun complain it just adds insult to injury ( and trust me the complains always find their way to the organising people ) 4. Have you ever thought of helping? (chipping in...and not just sitting on your ass and expect a sliver platter to fall on your lap) For this i am not targeting any sex i am talking about the whole class. YES both guys and girls.
So tell me what type of class do we have? what is this thing called class spirit? What? a shirt though i admit was nice of pei qi to draw for us but the class was SOOO cooperative in getting together. A class shirt to be honest is not about the shirt it is about the process of getting it and making it and designing as a class. Pei qi i applaud her did almost everything. From drawing to buying to printing and she did a good job but it should be called pei qi's shirt. Not class shirt.
You guys all only go through jc only once. What do you wish to remember about these years? The closest friends most adults have are actually their JC friends, or for our parents that only had 6 year courses, and their secondary school friends. In university you do not have a class at all, you will never get a chance to form such a close bond between people as a class is supposed to have. Yet we just throw this oppurtunity away? Does friendship mean so little to you? are the years here just for show on an A level cert...
Agreed that you may not like everybody. Agreed some people get on your nerves or some people seem to pick on you. But is that not what a class is all about. Is that not what friends are all about. That regardless of all their idiosyncrasies you can always count on them to help you in times of need. Maybe i have been blessed. In my last two classes over the past 4 years i have amassed two class full of friends. These are people i see no more than once or twice a year but if i were to call one of them up at any time and asked for help i am very sure that will get it. Sure i have such friends in hwa chong but perhaps this is the saddest part, i know more of such people outside my class than inside... I have tried my best to change this and i have ignored many things hoping time will change... but i guess it just doesn't work in the end, I know burglars and thieves that i can call friends but i have some classmates that i can't...what does that say? None of you can deny my many attempts to foster friendships...but they seem to be shooting at a wall that just blocks out...
I am sorry to have to post something like this. But i believe that i should never hide what i truely feel. I hold no real angry or hatred for anybody, and never will but i do feel frustration and a sense of drifting as though i have nothing to anchor to. Perhaps i am too frank, emotional, spontaneous, random and loud. But i have always been this way and people have accepted me for it. My friends niao me like mad as we like to do among each other, we may not all fit like clockwork but we know each other, or lives and ways. Who knows maybe that is why we are friends? Not that we are alike but that we know each other and trust one another. Who knows?
As it stands this entry will only be viewed by a handful of people...the usual few that put in the effort to come and view the blog to find out about each other...to these people i applaud you...
A confused and frustrated Adam

Is that Joanna who thinks Chem is so damn easy? Haha anyway just to inform you all, the class piggy only has $33.10 left, not very fat for an elaborate party huh =p But I doubt I'll collect anymore $$, if term time I've a hard collecting from you ppl, imagine post-prelims, have to deal with... um... ppl who will request to delay payment till next year? Well you all know who i'm talking about ;)
I suggest we spend up this $33.10, and collect the shortfall from whoever's going. Well but as a responsible treasurer (yeah right), I won't mind collecting $$ say on Wednesday from those who will be going. Whatever excess cash perhaps juz spurge on stuff like chocs or sth so we won't have the prob of returning ppl sums like $0.77? Or $0.65? Haha those funny numbers... But if I'm gg to collect, please, I'm NOT going to chase you all k? I select those whom I chase carefully =D
Another thing about class fund, if I'm not going to collect anymore, I really won't know what to do if there are expenses after prelims. Please, subj reps, if you know that there WILL be expenses soon, tell me so tt I postpone my retirement date ok? Then you all had better pay up when I say so, NO DELAYS!!!
Ok enough about $$ already. Umm class party huh, was about to suggest Monday aft Chem S but realised I won't be free then too.. Hmm so i guess Sat wld be fine. But its not really about studying (when did I ever do so?), its just... there wldn't be the mood la... I mean we won't feel as carefree as you lucky ppl right? 30th can? Haha but I realise ppl like me are in the minority.
Weh GALS!!! You all had better come k, if not I'll really start wishing I could change class =p jk la, but really, if the guys want organise stuff, its so easy, but what's a class if there's no oestrogen around? Stay over right, how many gals would? (no offence, know some parents are more conservative, but you get what i mean) Haha did I help lots of people say what they want to say in this para?
Yes cards!!! Haha ok have fun w the rest of prelims everyone (=

Life is a drag...what to do? Make it fun of course!
K people! Forget how screwed the exams are going to be...set aside your worries and torments! I have some good news for you guys! After the exams on the 23rd night! We are going to have a party! Thus far there are three options! Kelvin's new house (he wants to show us around). Hao tian's place...its the most lively at night (: or Adam's place which is always open. Hao Tian and Kelvin are presently asking their parents and stuff but should not be a problem i think. (:
I'm thinking for food a potluck would be good or maybe just a group of us can get together and prep everything its up to you guys so please give feekback ( Was actually wondering why not do a steam boat?) Drinks are easy so that would be no problem either.
I'm not too sure what you guys want to do but i was thinking anything that would be relaxing basically a chance for everybody to sit around and talk and laugh and relax i guess. Of course depending on where we go different activities are available. Hao Tian has a pool, Kelvin has a playstation and Adam has a dog plus basketball and soccer court (however i think that only appeals to guys). All three have movies, vcd players and television sets plus the all important mahjong and cards. So what do you guys think?
I know, I know those people with chemistry s paper are very poor thing but sorry lar you guys are just damn suai ): you can always take a break for the night, right? no harm done!
PS: Any chance we can stay over?

Dear all,
We have all survived the first week of prelims haha. It has been a ... not so wonderful experience for many of us, but at least we managed to come through in one piece. It is going to be another week(or 2 for some pple with S-papers) and I agree that it is going to be tough, however we should all stay calm. Do not worry too much about how much or how little you have completed, all that you need is self-esteem and a good night's rest. Very often, the results we obtain are disappointing and not proportional to how hard we worked for. The harsh reality leads us to question our own abilities, our IQ, our potential.
That is just part of life, it happens so often, when our efforts do not pay off. sometimes we feel so fustrated that we want to just escape from all the exams that torment us. However, we should let it all go. The school exams are often set at a standard above the actual exam so as to instill a sense of urgency in us. Many at times, it is the stress we place on ourselves that suppress our true abilities. When we are obsessed with the marks, we lose out on others in life.
This is the prelims, the results are important but they do not determine our fate. They act as an accurate reflection of our abilities at this point in time and tells us how far we are from our goals. For those we do well, we are happy for you. For those who do not perform as well, work hard for the actual exam. Now is not the end, so just put the past behind and prepare yourself for the final exam and put a perfect end to your JC life.
That's all, signing off
All the best for Prelims & A'levels!
