Hi people!

Firstly, I'd like to say tt i'm not competing with LY for business... But then I don't think I'm fond of distributing flyers (personal opinion, mainly because I've never tried it before =p). So maybe you all would like to consider the following activity in addition to the one LY posted? Its alright if you all prefer the other (don't think i've the time for either anyway =p)

So here it is, unaltered [also due to laziness ;)]

We need volunteers for the following event :

Event : Handicap Welfare Association (HWA) Roadshow
Date : 7 Nov 2005 to 10 Nov 2005
Time : 12pm to 9pm
(Shift 1 : 12pm to 5pm)
(Shift 2 : 4pm to 9pm)
Venue : Ngee Ann City, B2 (the side fronting Auntie Anne’s Pretzels)

Duties & Responsibilites - a) Sales of charity tickets - individual/bulk purchase
b) Promote Disabilites awareness & HWA's services

For those who are interested, please provide the following informations :

Hmm...latest update abt CIP...I gave up contacting the person regarding the wheelchair repair...he didn't reply my email! However, I contacted several organisations and finally received a favourable reply! Shall post the email here, lazy to paraphrase, sorry... =(

Liying, it great that you would like to help us in a group. I would like to know the following details:
1.) how many hours of CIP service does your group require to complete this year end holidays?
2.) Would your group prefer a 1 day stint or one that last throughout a couple of weeks in December?
3.) Apart from flyer distribution, is manning of charity booth something you would like to consider?
4.) Would you as the coordinator be willing to take up the responsiblity of overseeing the rest of the students' conduct and keep track of their CIP hours. e.g. when distributing flyers, i do not wish to see flyers thrown into the bin and not being distributed accordingly, yet get away with CIP hours provided...i hope you understand my concerns here...

Hmm...I guess you guys would prefer a 1 day event, right? Also, are you all okay with this event? Distributing flyers, manning charity booths, does that sound okay? Aiyah, hate that part abt the conduct...some pple are just so uncontrollable, **hint hint** esp a certain sbd on the front pg of glycolysis notes...was that too obvious? haha, just joking though, don't take it to heart Adam (oops... =S)...yeah, hope that you all can respond asap, regarding this event, so that the necessary arrangements can be made. If not, I guess wed will be the latest, see if can use CT session to discuss this...

P.S. to those who were/are interested in cip at the zoo, I contacted the relevant personnel, they said places for this sch holidays are full and sth abt only a max of 5 pple from each sch can participate per year, hmm...seems contrary to what many pple have been telling me abt volunteering at the zoo...

ooh.i wana know what's the general view about open house.haha.

eeyer i just realised my paragraphs are very short.ahh.haha.when are we next having a class outing! lalala.oh and i realised i don't know when our class cip is (; sorry.am i the only one? nvm regarding class outing right.i think going to town not really counted right.so...can i suggest potlucK! haha.or are y'll lazy to cook! :p nvm lah just bring chips..plenty plenty plenty! haha. by the way i just wanna extend a big thank you to joanna here for organising the previous class outing at pulau bukom..i like the sea view..ahhhhh. wait lah im reminiscing.is that spelt correctly.hmmm.

hey you know what.i suddenly feel like doing a class banner.i think it would be quite nice.but the problem would be where to hang it.are we allowed to hang it above our class bench..mmm.but it makes our class bench look more unique lah.

ooh i am beginning to like the colour thingy.pls tell me if my colour combination is bad ok.i hope it doesnt look bad on the blog.as in like so many colours and all..haha.

hey i ask y'll ah.sorry im so bad at blogs but is the background changeable? oh no am i asking a taboo question? just thought it would be nice to change the background once in a while.pls ignore my request if you are angry.

hey i realised you can change the time and date at the end of this page..so funny.what's the whole purpose of doing that??

This is how they shackle you to a hospital bed and subject you to the boredom of sleeping and sleeping and sleeping.

Hello, i'm back and i'm okay. A bit sore here and there but still operational. Thanks for the well wishes and those helping me check my papers:) For those who did well, rejoice! You've earned the joy and now's the time to bask in it. For those who did not that well (aka like me:( ) don't overgrieve or be crushed. What matters is next year, learn you lesson, dry those tears and get back on track:)

Hello Everyone!!!

Important Announcement:

Because we did not do the bio board, we have to do the board with 7c, 7D and 7E by Open House, October 21st, which is next Friday.

The Topic is IMMUNOLOGY

Our class has to come up with interesting pictures or comics. Note that it is OUR CLASS and not OUR CLASS BIO REP. So I ask you to pair up, and each pair come up with ONE or MORE comics by THIS FRIDAY, 14 OCTOBER. It only takes about 15 mins tops including printing it out. Please note that because it is Open House, Mrs Foo is going to check it and the proposal about what each class is doing is given to the Bio Department. So if you don't want to get into trouble, PLEASE CO-OPERATE.

hi, found some cip opportunities, wonder if you all are interested...

1. Repair of Wheelchairs
Organisation: Handicaps Welfare Association
Description: to replace parts ofr oil squeaky parts of old wheelchairs for loan. (the association operates a service of loaning wheelchairs to beneficiaries and the public)
Where: Boon Kheng(North East) nearest MRT

I think this is okay, but it'll probably involve more of the guys, don't know if you all want that... so there's...

2. Christmas Kettle Appeal
Organisation: The Salvation Army
Description: This is a fund-raising event that reaches out to the general public via the unique red kettle pots. Ketlling period will begin around end Nov till Christmas. Funds collected will be channelled to the 23 social centres, helping about 2 300 elderly, youth and children daily.
Where: Any MRT station, etc.

This activity is the one you see at orchard mrt anually, where pple dress up as santa/santarinas, ring the bells and ask for donations...but for this one, I'm not sure if it'll be much of a class activity though...

3. PAVe Charity Concert at Victoria Concert Hall
Organisation: Centre for Promoting Alternatives to Violence (PAVe)
Description: Colunteers are required in the following areas:
-to assist in handling/coordinating the logisitics of the Concert e.g. ushering duties - Guest-of-Honour, VIPs & audience.
-to sell concert tickets.
-to help promote the sale of PAVe calendars 2006 on the day of the Concert.
Where: Raffles Place MRT Interchange
Date and time of event: 6 Nov 5-7pm

This seems to be the most interesting event...however, nothing is perfect...=(
First, minimum age is 18...haiz...then they stated group size 10...hmm...wonder if the organiser would mind...but I think I can try contacting them, that is if you all are okay with this...so pls reply asap? Thanks.

gosh, despite being the IT Rep of 05S7A, i hardly blog. i'm ashamed, so i shall bu3 chang2 by blogging now, after promos!!

yay yay yay, never have i felt so relieved. do any of u realise, that this year has almost come to an end?

it felt just as if yesterday was the Orientation 2005. i remember clearly on that day, everyone CRAMMED the passageway connecting the canteen and our side of the wing, to take a peek at their class, and of cos, who else is on the class list.

oh! i see Ong Yan Zhi above my name, and hey, Zhang Hao Tian on the list! haha... what a coincidence... hey but wait! isn't that, Joanna Lim on the list?? wow, also a coincidence. ehhhh?? Michelle Chew on top of the list. Michelle... Chew... i rmb that name from Pri 2... hm, aiya, don't think it's that Michelle la...

Later in class, i felt slightly uncomfortable with my shorts but nvm la, got sexy legs to show :P. hm, quite a lot of chinese high boys in the same class too. familiar faces i see at the clock tower but never said hi. hmm. i recognise that skinny guy.

"Hi, My name is Alfred, from 4I!"
"Oh hello! I'm Nicholas!"
"And I'm Louis!"
"Eh, you are from 4J right?"
"Haha ya, i'm Zhi Han. And you are Alfred right?"

after shaking with hands with some other guys, like those from ACSI [Ben and Kel], Catholic High [u-know-who. eeks. flap flap lolz] and the RI-lookalikes Andersonians [Zhenhao and Zhi hao], i'm sure i'll forget the names of the Zhi, Zhen and Haos. Zhi Hao, eh? or izzit Zhen Han? oh gosh...

i eyed cautiously to the right. girls segregated in the other half of the classroom. suddenly, this particular girl in sleeveless NY uniform walked over and shook my hand, grinning from ear to ear,
"HELLO! I'M PEIQI! YOU CAN CALL ME PQ!"
PQ?... i see that name somewhere in many friendster accts...

I see 2 RGS girls in a corner. oh my... that's scary. [no offence!] Should i shake hands?
"Er... Hi, my name.. no, i'm Alfred."
"oh hello i'm Sherlene."
"And I'm Gwyneth."
"oh, i have a friend named Gwenlyn. sounds alike."

i also see 2 St.Nicks girls sitted behind. one tall, one short [no offence too!]
"Hi... I'm Pei Rong [Yueng]..." Her classic pei yueng face...
"Andimkaren."
"Har? sorry could you say your name again?"
"Imkaren."
Oh, i just nodded plainly even though i couldnt catch her words. Impolite to ask her name many times, you know.

wha... that's really Joanna leh.
"Eh Joanna! Same class ar!"
"Yes Alfred, MOST unfortunately."
-_-'' ha. ha. i sense sarcasm lolz. as usual. haha

and wait! is that really... Michelle Chew????? what happened to her?!?! she became so much smaller for the past 8 years!!!
"Er.. hi, are you Michelle?"
"oh yes. Hello and you are?"
"Were you from PEPS in Pri 1 and 2?"
"Err yea... ?"
"I'm alfred!! rmb?"
"Oh... er... oh YEA! Alfred!"
"Yes yes... i rmb the boys and girls always fought in the school field."

In comes a small petite woman, and the class immediately quietened down. She cleared her throat.
"Helllllo class. I'm your CT Tutor, Mrs Boo."
har? everyone looked at each other, bewildered.
"ok i shall write it down on the board." B-O-O
the class giggled.
Mrs Boo moved the OHP to the middle and switched it on. She flashed a transparency that reads "School Rules".
"Ya class, so i need to tell you all the school rules. Number 1... thou shalt not be late for school... Number 2... ...." oh dear... boring...

ok anyway, typed a lot liaoz. pls enjoy tmr's class outing to... PULAU BUKOM. i'm bringing a really old camera, not digicam hor. so you may see me flashing here and there. oops. i mean, taking photos with FLASH. not... err. flashing.
