hello beloved 7 aians...
it is now approximately 7 hrs after the eventful release of results. Again, how time flies by ever so quickly...
I realised that some people found my previous post sad, depressing and scary - like it brought back nightmares of "doomsday" so called. For that I apologize... I was rather sad, depressed and scared at that time... for personal reasons. I hope I did not cause sleepless nights for anyone.
Well, apologies aside, I return to my point, being the O level results. Today was the day for the moment of truth. How well did we do? How much did we gain from secondary school? How good are we compared to others? I recieved satisfactory results - suffice to say that it was not the ideal 6 points, but it may help me stay in Hwa Chong. Of course, some people are happier than I am, and some people are, a little disappointed. Hm... with such a wide variety of reactions, a chorus of screams, wails, laughter, sobbing, shouting... It was indeed overwhelming.
But life moves on... we cannot keep hanging onto our past experiences - now we face the challenge of an unknown fate: can we stay as a class? where do we go on from here?
Call me pessimistic if u want, call me a spoilsport even... but I hope that when we do part our ways, the first and original 05s7a will always live in this website. We are the storm, the tempest, the raging winds and seas. We are exciting, mysterious, sometimes dangerous... we are impulsive, always loving and caring for one another, looking out for each other... this is a class that will be very very very hard to forget. The guys, you have made life more interesting for the class in general with your carefree, "happy" ways. Coming from a single sex school like Nanyang, having u guys in the class is like having a breathe of fresh air everyday. Refreshing, soothing, relaxing, de-stressing... Though it is wierd to suddenly have people of different genders (contreversial or not) as study partners, I must admit that it is very helpful... especially with math and physics problems. The girls? Well, you have made life in Hwa Chong fun and meaningful. The things you share with one another, the thoughts that you type out on the class blog (here) are always touching, although u brand it otherwise sometimes. All of you have been very supportive, friendly and nice to each other, even though the reality of the two month PAE is looming overhead...
I have no idea what tommorow may bring. I cannot predict the future. All I can do is raise my chin and my glass and say cheers to 7a... then drink the bitter wine of life.
5483 5433 86 843 3855378 367 843 388873 47 722723. and always remember me because I will never forget u all...
