hello beloved 7 aians...
it is now approximately 7 hrs after the eventful release of results. Again, how time flies by ever so quickly...
I realised that some people found my previous post sad, depressing and scary - like it brought back nightmares of "doomsday" so called. For that I apologize... I was rather sad, depressed and scared at that time... for personal reasons. I hope I did not cause sleepless nights for anyone.
Well, apologies aside, I return to my point, being the O level results. Today was the day for the moment of truth. How well did we do? How much did we gain from secondary school? How good are we compared to others? I recieved satisfactory results - suffice to say that it was not the ideal 6 points, but it may help me stay in Hwa Chong. Of course, some people are happier than I am, and some people are, a little disappointed. Hm... with such a wide variety of reactions, a chorus of screams, wails, laughter, sobbing, shouting... It was indeed overwhelming.
But life moves on... we cannot keep hanging onto our past experiences - now we face the challenge of an unknown fate: can we stay as a class? where do we go on from here?
Call me pessimistic if u want, call me a spoilsport even... but I hope that when we do part our ways, the first and original 05s7a will always live in this website. We are the storm, the tempest, the raging winds and seas. We are exciting, mysterious, sometimes dangerous... we are impulsive, always loving and caring for one another, looking out for each other... this is a class that will be very very very hard to forget. The guys, you have made life more interesting for the class in general with your carefree, "happy" ways. Coming from a single sex school like Nanyang, having u guys in the class is like having a breathe of fresh air everyday. Refreshing, soothing, relaxing, de-stressing... Though it is wierd to suddenly have people of different genders (contreversial or not) as study partners, I must admit that it is very helpful... especially with math and physics problems. The girls? Well, you have made life in Hwa Chong fun and meaningful. The things you share with one another, the thoughts that you type out on the class blog (here) are always touching, although u brand it otherwise sometimes. All of you have been very supportive, friendly and nice to each other, even though the reality of the two month PAE is looming overhead...
I have no idea what tommorow may bring. I cannot predict the future. All I can do is raise my chin and my glass and say cheers to 7a... then drink the bitter wine of life.
5483 5433 86 843 3855378 367 843 388873 47 722723. and always remember me because I will never forget u all...

tick tock tick tock...
time is slowly slipping away.... and 1400 hrs is slowly but surely approaching, whether we like it or we dread it.... fifteen more hours? fourteen? time is definitely not on our side...
O level results... Should I feel happy? Should I feel relieved? Should I feel anxious? Should I feel depressed? I have no idea, a mix of everything i suppose. For one, the reality that 05S7A may soon become a memory, only substantiated by a few photographs, is hitting me very hard - so hard that I think I may get a concussion soon...
but if i had to summarise my feelings into one word, i guess it all comes down to fear. so many questions spinning in my mind, another one appearing every heart beat, all of them left unanswered, just swirling... swirling... so many of these questions... what if i didn't do well in the o levels? what if i got transfered to another school? what if i had to go to a polytechnic? what if i was the only one left in 7a? what if i had to go to another class? what if i cannot put these past memories behind me? what if... what if...
Truth be told, i never want to leave 7a... it's such a wonderful and intriguing class, like although everyone is from different backgrounds, with different personalities, we are always able to come together during crises to do whatever we have to, without complaining. There may be differences in the class, but we always manage to get past that. Now that I have tasted life in Hwa Chong 7A, i don't really want to leave... let's spend the rest of 2005 and 2006 together!!!
But sadly enough, sometimes dreams cannot come true, even if everyone wants it to be so. Our future is hanging before us, 15 hrs away. Let us promise that we shall not forget each other, and shall try to keep in contact always.
Cheers to 7a...

Hey ya all !
Tomorrows gonna be D DAY! Everyone's anxious and scared... I really hope that all of ya will be able to get the results u all hope for tomorrow! More importantly, i hope that all of us will be able to stay in hwa chong and in the same class too! Its really been a great blessing to have known all of you ppl and it will never feel the same going to hwa chong without even just one person...
Not being able to be with that person again, or to hear his/her laughter, or to feel his/her touch.... okay okay.. u guys get wad i mean rite?
BUT no matter wad happens, all of u will always be in deeply remembered in my heart! Youre memories will stay deeply entrenched in the deepest depths of my heart... ( is this too dramatic? )
and we will never forget anyone of ya! Remember, life still goes on even after the JAE k? No matter where anyone of u go to, 05S7A will always still exist and the 05S7A spirit will live on forever!

Yay today was uber fun lah! First I had to drag myself out of bed to go for this silly GP project. URgh. Early in the morning! You sadistic psychos who made me wake up at an obscene hour.
OK lah not very obscene! Anyway we had fun doing project, right? P/S, all girls invited to a sleepover my house after monday O levels results release. Please confirm attendance asap because I don't want people to drop by my house suddenly, or to not come after saying they are coming.
1. If you do well, can celebrate together!
2. If you do badly (UNLIKELY), can cheer each other up with girltalk.
Oh kay on to the great stuff. Zihao Ziping PQ Poopoo and Sherlene wanted to go ice skating but the irritating bit was when we got to the rink, and saw it was some ice hockey competition! We all could not skate. Very pissed. Went off to Jurong Point instead where we walked in circles and in the end when Peirong came (VERY LATE) we popped into the cinema to catch a movie. SO LAME LAH, I DO I DO! But very funny heehee haha I think I laughed like mad.
Oh yes! PQ loves salted popcorn! While Zihao Ziping Poopoo love sweet. So I guess I was being fussy when I treated you all to popcorn.. I also taught them the art of feeling popcorn.
a) Salted popcorn is generally powdery.
b) Sweet popcorn is generally sticky.
This is the main fundamental principle.
It was very amusing to be in the cinema and you can hear people exclaiming, "IT FEELS SALTY!"
and PQ going, "I WANT THE SALTY ONES.." and digging and touching each popcorn and pulling the right ones onto her palm (then her mouth).
After a lot of fun and joking and walking around Jurong Point, Ziping and Zihao departed and Peirong and I spent a romantic dinner together - and that ninny restaurant made us wait half an hour with their slow service lah! RAWR! Haha... and another ninny forgot she was BROKE! I had to pay for her meal after that. Bit her arm so everythings A- OK.
YAY. Anyway I think I owe you all alot of photos. Click to enlarge.

Can still see the chicken flying in the air.

OK the end maybe I will blog the same stuff but with more photos on my blog :)
Lots of love

Wee X-country today I am tired already! Heehee hee walking to Turf City already make me zap up my energy.
Although I am tired, I am happy. Very happy.
I'm so exhausted everyday! My friends in other JC actually complain that they miss the fast pace of NY (which is like HC wee!) and they miss feeling lethargic. Oh man! RAWR!
Capriccio has been quite draining even though I'm not performing. I hope everyone will come and support HC band! Yayy Yayy ! Please come... We have been practising very hard really!!!
My eyes are popping out. Today we had a great time strolling through cross-country, yep, the 4 babes, PQ (of course!) , Peirong, Ziping, and Sherlene! Yay! And we really hold hands and sing songs and I never had such a happy cross-country before. heheh. All my cross-countries (??) involve me huffing and puffing towards the finish line.
This week has been memorable. CT sessions where lips met cheek and Alfred seduced Mrs Boo, funny and lame jokes that Mrs Boo cracks during lecture, freaking out thinking that results are coming out on Friday, and OF COURSE, our very nice Capriccio Phantom of the Opera publicity stint OK. Also, today there was an unforgettable sharing of saliva between couples in our class during Bio practical.
Yay. See you all on Monday. :(

Hello all!!
whoo... what a nice run at X-country today. haha, found it rather interesting to run at Turf City, 1st time ever for me, and for everyone else too. weird... guess now that the 2 schs have merged, we'll need a much bigger place to assemble all students. imagine that several yrs back, those aunties and uncles stood on those spectator stands, constantly cheering on the horses they are betting on haha. oh well... then we must be the horses... -_-''. gosh, what am i talking? la la la...
haha so sorry, but i guess i'm just feeling a little nervous as judgment day is coming. ermz... it never occured to me that this exact same thing would happen to me one day, as i'm usually apathetic to the release of the O's results in the previous years. i never understood the jitters that my band seniors had. now, 4 years after studying and mugging [lol!], we are currently waiting anxiously for the results. seems like it was just yesterday that we took our exams, isnt it?
now beside me on my com table, are the 2 photos we took during Orientation 2005. awww... it just feels good looking at it... everyone's smiling at the camera. i see haotian lying on liangzhen, and adam lying on ben. i see the girls getting really cosy in a corner, despite being smeared over with dried flour. and haha, i see zhi han holding up his Ripcurl slippers in surrender?! lol...
thx a million to mrs cheng. it is indeed extremelly encouraging that you take the time off and effort to come online and blog. wow... really so 'in' lor! yupz, i guess everyone was really busy the past wk. 5 tests in all, 2 SPAS, 2 lecture tests and 1 compre test. but we SURVIVED! that's the main thing! for me, my schedule was really packed last wk, reaching home about 8:30-9pm everyday. u see, the band concert capriccio's coming, so practices have been increased to daily sectionals. though i return home dead tired and havent got much time to study before collapsing onto my bed, i didnt really mind. i really enjoy my time here and i dont wanna spend everyday worrying abt studies [for now =P]. at least i feel satisfied that i'm practising a lot now in order to put up a good show on Capriccio night. and it's even more encouraging that a part of the class is going to watch haha.
gosh, dunno why i've suddenly so much to say. perhaps it's because i wasnt able to come online for abt 3 days oops. now i can, not for long though, i haf quite some work left undone the past wk. sorry guyz, cant join u all tmr for the class outing - ice skating, cos i'll be working in the evening. earn a little pocket money heh heh.
hm... i'm starting to love the backstreet boys! yes yes... i noe they are ancient lol. but sometimes, do pause for a while and listen to the oldies. golden oldies haha. Shape of my Heart, The One, More Than That and Drowning are just but some of my favourites! and heard they'll be making a comeback this year, with a whole new single - "Incomplete". do look out for BSB!
.......................................
There you were, wild and free
Reaching out like you needed me
A helping hand to make it right
I am holding you all through the night

sigh today my sister left to go to her university in new zealand. Sigh i know its supposed to be for the best and all that for her to go and study and like its cheaper to study there but still can't help but feel damn depressed that she has left. I know that we quarrel a lot, she frustrates me and i frustrate her but still now the house is so empty only my mum, grandma and me. No noisy sister...no sister i love...
My noisy sister,
You fill the house.
Singing your psalms,
disturbing the calm.
My trying sister,
you test my patience.
You frustrate my soul,
yet i love you so.
My irritating sister,
like a fly you are.
Buzzing about,
How I should go out.
My lovely sister,
The jem in my heart,
On me you dote,
On you I dote.
My complex sister,
I will never forget.
My heart bleeds so,
To see you go...

Hi guys, just wanna recommend a very nice book, Girl, interrupted! (if not interested skip the whole chunk lah.)
some background info: it's an autobiography by a woman who was once labelled a lunatic and it traces her life in the asylum. Quite thought provoking!
The Opening Chapter
Toward a Topography of The Parallel Universe
People ask, How did you get in there? What they really want to know is if they are likely to end up in there as well. I can't answer the real question. All I can tell them is, It's easy.
And it is easy to slip into a parallel universe. There are so many of them: worlds of the insane, the criminal, the crippled, the dying, perhaps of the dead as well. These worlds exist alongside this world and resemble it, but are not in it.
My roommate Georgina came in swiftly and totally, during her junior year at Vassar. She was in a theatre watching a movie when a tidal wave of blackness broke over her head. The entire world was obliterated - for a few minutes. She knew she had gone crazy. She looked around the theatre to see if it had happened to everyone, but all the other people were engrossed in the movie. She rushed out, because the darkness in the theatre was too much when combined with the darkness in her head.
And after that? I asked her.
A lot of darkness, she said.
But most people pass over incrementally, making a series of perforations in the membrane between here and there until an opening exists. And who can resist an opening?
In the parallel universe the laws of physics are suspended. What goes up does not necessarily come down, a body at rest does not tend to stay at rest, and not every action can be counted on to provoke an equal and opposite reaction. Time, too, is different. It may run in circles, flow backwards, skip about from now to then. The very arrangement of molecules is fluid: Tables can be clocks; faces, flowers.
These are facts you find out later, though.
Another odd feature of the parallel universe is that although it is invisible from this side, once you are in it you can easily see the world you came from. Sometimes the world you came from looks huge and menacing, quivering like a vast pile of jelly; at other times it is miniaturized and alluring, a-spin and shining in its orbit. Either way, it can't be discounted.
Every window on Alcatraz has a view of San Francisco.

W00t! A teacher posted!!! Now we'll just have to wait for the rest to give their attention to our attention starved page XD
Please remember to sign into the IVLE for the survey thingy by 17th feb (right?) Remember that you must sign in at school to be able to access the IVLE, because many seem to have this problem.
The other announcement is that... *drumrolls* We have 3 tests next week: GP compre test on Monday, Chem SPA test on Tuesday, and Chem lecture test on Thursday. If that wasn't enough, the O level results should come out on Friday... though you won't have to do anything, it scared me more than all the other 3 added together XD. We'll pull through and move on together=)
Here's to another glorious 2 years with you guys in HCI!!!!
Have a nice day,

Ah..... the beauty of friendship... For Karen, Sherlene, Kelvin, Mich, Adam and I, whatever happened is over. No harm done, and I really appreciate Karen's and Sherlene's message, it just highlighted what wonderful human beings you people are. I heard what happened from Adam ( I was there). I dunno about the rest, I was quite pissed then (must be my poker face again =D ). But the air is now cleared, and let the past be buried. And let us be glad that our friendship withstood this test =) Love ya all!!
Personal issues aside, we should start the discussion about JTS, which had longed stalled for our CNY stall celebrations. The date is set for next Saturday.. so time is not that abundant.
Another annoucement: Zhi Han is inviting us to his house for the day... and he wishes as many as possible to stay for dinner, which will be *drumrolls* Steamboat!! The guy's doing so much for us, how can we refuse he's generous hospitality =). GO GO GO GO GO GO GO
And we'll appreciate it if you use your real name, Legion =)
keep on rocking,

Find the right way down through the maze, to the food, then find the exit. Push the exit button. If the food tastes awful, don't eat it, go back and try another way.
They want the same thing that you do, really, they want a path, just like you. You are in a maze in a maze, but which one counts? Your maze, their maze, my maze. Or are the mazes all the same, defined by the limits of their paths?
Existence is simple: find the food, push the button, hit the treadmill.
But sometimes it gets much harder. Sometimes the food makes you sick, or you can hear nearby feet racing you, urging you on. Sometimes the button only gets you landed right back in the beginning of the maze again, and the food won't satisfy.
There is only one path and that is the path that you take, but you can take more than one path.
Cross over the cell bars, find a new maze, make the maze from it's path, find the cell bars, cross over the bars, find a maze, make the maze from its path, eat the food, eat the path.
Legion

hey all,
thanks hao tian for taking that picture off. next time if you guys wanna suan kel, then don't drag me in can? haha.
hrmz.. just to clarify something, karen, kel, and all of us appreciate what the stall ppl did for our class. why do you think we helped out so much at the stall? anyway, to that person who slandered us: i hope it was just a misunderstanding. yupz. cos it caused us much hurt. esp when i received that sms from adam. to mich: it's okay(= hope we didn't make you too upset, cos nothing of that sort ever happened. haha. we just wonder who told you that.. cos we asked adam but he refused to reveal. hrmz.

hello guys...
very tired, been visiting the whole day, and i don't quite care how many muscles it takes to smile versus frowning. Smiling in itself is tiring as a whole.. at least i didn't get many comments of "michelle! you look so different, you've grown!" ah well. Met a cousin whom i'd last seen like.. 3?years ago, (his name is eugene too btw, :P he's 20..) and our parents were commenting that we spoke like long time friends. lols.
Oh yes, the kerupok, i've been handling it.. somewhat, i've sold half the amount (by being extra thick skinned at my grandma's house today.. quite embarassing at first.. :'( haha) plus i've got the money from the kueh bangkit (which you guys totally sucked at but never mind :P) so i think our class will have some extra pocket money... will attempt to be thickskinned somemore tomorrow, but i have my limits.. unlike some people! [insert.. flap! flap!]
Haha, i think Adam has been trying (and succeeding somewhat) at being less AA though, so i think we should applaud his attempts at not regularly blasting our ears off.. just most occasionally! :D [sorry adam, hope i haven't offended you...]
One more thing, Sherlene (especially), Karen, (and to an extent ) Kelvin, i think i owe you guys an apology, so i'll just do it here now.. i know the two girls will know what i'm talking about, kel i'm not too sure... haha. Yeah, in my defence i shall say that i was quite tired and quite irritable by that time of the day, though i still should not have done what i did. Sorry.. :(
Lol, you know when adam, ht and i got back to my place after lunch at kap, we fell asleep at my dining table, starting with ht, and when my dad came downstairs he found the three of us sprawled face down and fast asleep.. lol. most amusing.. yeah.
Anyway, just to wish you guys happy CNY... and have a great year ahead!
ps. adam, your retainers and toothbrush are still at my place...
pps. what's our arrangement on fri like?
mich.

Well guys talking bout the stall i think there are three groups of people we need to congragulate.
The poster people who did a fantastic job with both the class and stall banners they looked fabulous and are a testimont to our tradition of excellence which our seniors have instilled in us.
The drinks people who have sacrificed their stomachs to creat a fabulous concoction that rocks the house. The bright red colour simply just encompasses the wonderful spirit of chinese new year.
The food people who woke up at 1.30 am just to labour for the next 4.30 hours rolling out sushi i believe that their dedication and perseverence could be felt from the delicious sushi which they have laboured to produce.
i believe that as a class we did well together and managed to come up with a fantatic stall. Even though our earnings were minor and there are a lot of packets of keropok left(we do have a plan to get rid of it will tell you'll on monday) it was still worth the effort that we put in.
In total we spent 280.85 dollars and earned 300.90. It may not be enough to treat the seniors but nonetheless i am proud of what little we have earned because it was done through the efforts of all.
Oh and a happy chinese new year to one and all!
Adam

hello all!
today is chu1 yi1, and here's alfred wishing all of u a fruitful year ahead and may the year of the rooster bring wealth and joy to you and your family!!
yippee, mrs cheng blogged. but what's keeping the others? miss selva, mrs boo and mr chow? hmm... miss selva mentioned that she had problems tagging.
btw mrs cheng, from ur entry, i presume u just married last yr? haha... then the class will like to wish u zhao3 shen1 gui4 zi3 [early born baby - poor direct chinese-english translation]. but of cos, 7A-ers must be rejoicing for joy, esp. since we'll gonna have one more angbao to stuff inside our already-full pockets *wink wink*
yup, and congrats to the cny stall grp for making a profit! was kinda worried that we may suffer a terrible loss esp. since there were so much koropok left. hmm... cny treats maybe haha. eh, how about giving them to our snrs? lol...
btw, just something extra... u noe wat? while the cny market was on, i went back to our class bench for a rest. there, i saw a guy sitting there. he kept staring at me while i brushed off the chalk powder off my blue pants. then he asked, "Are you from 05s7A?" i nodded in reply and he added, smiling "i was from 7A too... 02S7A!" whoa... i thot it's kinda interesting and heart-warming that even 02S7A-ers came back! he's 20 years old i think... and even though we had an age gap, there was this link ... this bond during that moment... cos we both had something in common ---- being part of the huge 7A family. haha okok... quite mushy mushy lol. just my two-cents worth =)
well, guess i gtg now. havent go bai nian yet. it's already 2.30pm oops! ok, cya all soon! Once again... alfred wishes u all a...

Hello... Kelvin, looks like time tells us everything ;)
And thanks to Sherlene and Karen for being such a good sport at this... btw, do you want this as wallpaper? XD
On a more serious note: Thank you everyone who had helped in the CNY thingies!!! To the banner people, I salute you for your excellent effort at the CNY banner and our stall banner, especially when you guys specially stayed back to 11pm to paint yesterday, braving both the night and supposed "scary atmosphere" =O.
Also, a big thank you to everyone who have helped to pull customers (literally XD) and doing sacrificial trading with others (My wallet is now slimer also :'( ). For your peace of mind, we didn't make a loss. The bad news is that the profit isn't all that sizable and we have a mountain of kerupok left. What next? We'll update you guys on it.
Wishing you a Happy Chinese New Year in advance ( 3 more hours), and see you guys on monday... and do your tutorials =)
Till next time,
Hao Tian

The Keeper of Scandals decided that its time to open the vaults to clear up the issues. I have some personal evaluation for each of them... so enjoy!
1. Zhi Han and Nichola
Keeper's comments: Nothing much, everyone should know as much as I do =)
2. Ben and Mich
Keeper's comments: Being with them and unless they are doing an awfully good job at hiding it from everyone, I don't think it has happened yet. Possibility :40%
3. Kelvin and Sherlene
Keeper's comments: This is an exotic one, but it is yet another spur-of-the-moment scandal during the wars. Next.
4. Ben and Alfred
Keeper's comments: Interestingly, Ben himself came up with this. =) How true can this be?
5. Kelvin and (insert name here)
Keeper's comments: the other half is constantly rotating and seem like total rubbish to me. Pass it on.
6. Adam and (L is for???)
Keeper's comments: True to a certain extent... but is it mutual? The keeper needs to do more research =)
7. Adam and Sherlene
Keeper's comments: Kelvin's gonna be so unhap... erm, nevermind that. Not very obvious, but possible.
8. Helen and Hao Tian
Keeper's comments: Like I said, I'm impartial. So I state this also. Pairing us just because of our height similarity (which is taller than most of you XD) is laughable. Next
9. Melinda and Zi Hao
Keeper's comments: Appears to be true and yet it is not. Weird isn't it? Keep your eyes peeled... there is a hidden spark in this.
10.PQ and Hao Tian
Keeper's comments: I heard of this from someone, and I have no comments for this =)
So ends the analysis of most of the erm... MORE likely scandals. There are hidden ones that I don't reveal (which are more true that the above shown and for the sake of not ruining the possibilities in them) and so you must be more alert to see the rest. But the Great Eye sees everything =)

PQ:
Thank you Alfred for resizing the boxes and adding that little 7A TEMPEST on the top left! Hip Hip Hooray for the IT rep who has been digging his eyeballs out doing HTML.
So I asked Haotian a question after seeing his nick.
THBT Ben and Mich are a couple. says:
so what scandals are there?
<> The Impartial Keeper of Scandals says:
Access Denied
<> The Impartial Keeper of Scandals says:
Security clearance too low
Rawr! I would like to know the scandals in class. In fact every night we have been coming online to discuss the 101 scandals in our class, creating new ones and destroying outdated ones. Hot topics, hot topics! Plus with Valentines' Day around the corner, it's even more electrifying!
Today about 8 of us went J8 (I came one hr later after band) and we were shopping around for V day presents! Yay! I wonder who going to get me anything! BTW PQ loves lilies and roses and tulips and sunflowers and does not like mogu OK thanks for the present, in advance! Anyway very happy lalalalalala we were with Adam Haotian Jo-Ann Melinda Peirong Karen Kelvin! Yay!
Sadly it was not a productive outing for me, while everyone else got their gifts already. Aah! I also don't have CNY clothes yet! RAWR!
We've been spending nights online chatting and bullying Kelvin and staging wars on him! Poor fellow! Anyway this is the latest debate:
THBT Ben and Michelle are a couple.
Go drive yourself crazy debating over this!
I want to go shopping shopping shopping woohoo! Booboo Band orientation later in the afternoon... OK see you guys !
Love
PQ

yoo hoo... our class's CNY banner is completed today!
just to update you dudes on what happened today afternn. after the last bio lecture, the banner group ppl left for the amphitheatre to work on our CNY banner.
got off to a great start. pq was drawing out the outlines of the words and the chicken while the others were starting to apply the first layer of white paint. paiseh, i gotta admit, but i sort of slacked in the beginning, preparing the bio tutorial question on transparency and stuff hoho.
ok, so after the white paint had dried up, we went to to paint the chinese characters black. oh yes, i 4got to list down the names of those who went :
ME [Alfred]
PQ [chief designer]
YZ
Melinda
Pei Rong
Zhi Hao
Joanna
Hao tian [came at abt 6+pm lol but still cool anyway]
Zi Ping
Gweneth
Karen
err... i think that's abt all. cant blame those CO and choir ppl, they gotta rush off for CCA....
ok, so we painted for abt 3 hrs or so, before our masterpiece is finally completed! it wasn't all smooth-sailing though, esp. since there were 2 topping-water-containers incidents.
overall,, it was a satisfying piece of work and was definitely a good bonding session for the 7A-ers. 3 cheers for 7A!!
btw, the photo for the banner will be up tmr... havent taken a photo of it yet oops!
